The Sommelier's opinion
Classified as Cru Bourgeois Supérieur during the 1932 classification, Château Sémeillan spreads its vineyard across the prestigious communes in the heart of the Médoc, namely Listrac and Moulis. The wines produced by the property are characterized by their roundness and fruitiness, with all the elegance of the exceptional finesse of the Médoc. Created in 1772 by the Duplessis-Richelieu family, it enjoyed an excellent reputation and had the privilege of being one of the favorite wines of Emperor Napoleon III who regularly served it at his table.
