The Civil Agricultural Society of the Olivier FLEURY Vineyards
For more than 8 generations, the Fleury-Dubourg family has been established in the Bordeaux vineyards.
Its history has been intertwined over the centuries and until recently with appellations such as Saint-Estèphe, Sauternes, Barsac, Cérons, Graves, Saint-Emilion, Côtes de Bordeaux, etc.
Coming from this family saga, Olivier FLEURY sets out alone to take over a promising vineyard, which was once owned by one of his uncles: Château du Pavillon, with 9 hectares on the sublime hillsides of Sainte-Croix du Mont and Château Les Roques in Loupiac.
After a decade, the estate now covers 72 hectares, over 5 châteaux and 14 renowned appellations of origin in South Gironde, mainly in the Sauternes valley.
It is a collection of terroirs, known essentially for their unique sweet wines, that Olivier Fleury, the only Bordeaux winemaker to declare Barsac, Cérons, Sainte-Croix du Mont, Loupiac, Premières Côtes de Bordeaux, Saint-Macaire, has patiently gathered!
Although some once thought he was crazy to start producing sweet wines, whose sales were declining, today it is a major asset of his domain, since it is in fact a niche market for tiny appellations with a worldwide reputation, and for which demand continues to grow.
The white market is indeed booming, unlike the red market, which is in sharp decline worldwide.
Our production objective is to allow such different terroirs to express themselves and thus create a unique range in this fabulous region.
Surrounded by a small but dynamic team, we patiently restore the vineyards, developing the wines in the cellar, taking charge of all phases of production up to bottling and marketing.
These quality commitments are coupled with a constant concern for proximity with our private and professional customers, both in France and abroad, our wines being distributed via the 'Fleury-Dubourg' network, at fairs and exhibitions throughout France, at home, in a network of selected wine merchants and the best restaurants in the country.
